Stepping Out in Faith

stepping out in faith, what truly matters in life? Jesus

Recently I’ve been thinking about what it means to step out in faith. Sometimes it’s easier to just sit back and wait. And I believe there is a time and place for waiting. Other times I believe God is calling us to step out. Our God is so faithful and Luke 12:31 (ESV) tells us “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” I’ve written about this before, but I truly believe God wants to bless his children! Now that I am a parent I understand this even more. I want the world for our baby girl. My heart desires to give her everything she needs to live a happy and fulfilled life.

If that is my desire as an imperfect parent, can you imagine what God wants to do in your life?

In the past few months, I’ve stepped out and asked God for His favor in specific areas. I desired to be a stay at home mom. I wasn’t sure how this was going to happen on 1 salary, but I gave it to God. I declared some of His promises in His Word and I trusted Him. He is amazing and opened doors for me that I never thought would be possible. Sometimes if you don’t ask you may never find!

Stepping Out In Faith, Jesus, Scripture

What desires or promises has God given you that you haven’t seen fulfilled? Is He calling you to action? Step out in faith, ask Him for help and praise Him for his faithfulness! Now I understand our timing isn’t always God’s timing. That’s the tricky part. But I do believe in standing on His word and asking him for favor in all situations.

Scriptures to mediate on:

Jeremiah 29:11 – For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plan to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Philippians 4:19 – And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Psalm 5:12 – Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.

What has God done in your life recently? I’d love to hear in the comments below!
