Hotel Hershey Anniversary Trip

Today is our 4 year anniversary. I can’t believe how quickly time has passed. It feels like just yesterday we were planning our wedding. My husband and I have often talked about staying at the Hotel Hershey and we finally decided to book a weekend trip, just the two of us. We were so grateful that my parents could watch our daughter while we had a weekend away at the gorgeous Hotel Hershey. The hotel is a beautiful and historic place to stay. It was built in the 1930s and continues to have a very elegant feel to it. Even though the weather was cold and cloudy the hotel looked gorgeous decorated for the holidays.

The beautiful and historic Hotel HersheyAs we checked in we were welcomed with lots of chocolate. We were also surprised with chocolate covered strawberries in our room. We were in chocolate heaven! Throughout our stay the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Our hotel room was gorgeous, elegant and comfortable at the same time. We loved finding the toiletries in our bathroom were from the hotel’s spa. The chocolate mandarin scent was seriously amazing!

Hotel Hershey Anniversary TripDuring our weekend trip we were able to visit the Hershey gardens (right across from the hotel) and Hershey Park’s Christmas Candy Lane. Hershey does an excellent job with the Christmas lights and with the festive music playing it made a cold night seem warm. Hershey Park was crowded, but we were happy walking around and taking in all the Christmas decorations. At the park you can visit Santa’s reindeer and enjoy about 30 rides.

Hershey Park Christmas Candy LaneOn Saturday night we enjoyed a special dinner at the Circular Dining room. We loved everything we ordered. The food was so flavorful and delicious. I think my favorite was the lobster bisque I had as an appetizer. The restaurant was very sweet and gave us two chocolate covered strawberries to celebrate our 4th anniversary. At the end of your dining experience you are also given a soft caramel (again delicious) since Milton Hershey first started in caramels not chocolate.

First, the prices were very affordable. My egg white omelet was $10. Second, the presentation and set-up was first class. We also ordered some Hershey’s hot chocolate to go with our breakfast.

Hotel Hershey Room Service Overall, we had a wonderful weekend. It was so relaxing and we loved spending some time together as a couple. The hotel did a wonderful job adding special touches making our Hotel Hershey anniversary trip top notch. I was surprised at how many things there were to do and I definitely think you could stay 3-4 days to enjoy everything Hershey has to offer.

  1. I’m jealous! We’ve been wanting to do this–although I doubt we’ll get the chance in the next 6 months–and it looks like you had an amazing weekend!

Their lobster bisque is pretty good, but I think Devon’s is the best!

Funny story–the last time we were at the Circular Dining Room, my in-laws were in town so they took us out to eat there. I was just past my due date, so my father-in-law told them we were there to celebrate the baby coming soon… they brought me those chocolate covered strawberries (my plate said Congratulations!)… Maria was born about 6 hours later 🙂
