My Happy Pumpkin Book Review

My Happy Pumpkin by Crystal Bowman is an adorable board book about carving pumpkins. The story follows a young boy who picks out his first pumpkin from the farm. He enjoys carving it with his dad and creating a happy pumpkin that shines in the night. The little boy reflects on God’s love and how God’s light is shining through him.

I love the rhyming words in this story and the easy to read text. Our daughter loved the bright pictures and the shape of the board book. There are so many books to choose from that talk about fall activities and carving pumpkins. I believe this book stands out because it parallels God’s love throughout the story line. I want to instill Christian values in our daughter at a young age so I love to find books that have both real life activities and Biblical values. As she grows older we will love including this book in our fall festivities.
