Happy New Year! I can’t believe how quickly this year has gone. There are so many great things in store and I am excited to see how God is going to use us for His purposes in this new year.
I’ve never been a big fan of New Year’s resolutions. I don’t know why but I guess I think they don’t work? Or maybe I’m just not good at keeping them! Although I don’t love resolutions I do believe in setting goals and seeking what God has for you in a new year.
So this year I decided to do something different. Instead of a New Year’s Resolution I gave myself a challenge.
This year I’m going to read one proverb a day for the whole month of January. Did you know there are 31 proverbs? It’s perfect because there are 31 days in January. To start the year off on the right foot I’m challenging myself to soak in God’s words and wisdom through the proverbs. Will you join me?
See on and off throughout the year I read through the book of Proverbs. Every time I read it I am amazed at the wisdom and knowledge written down thousands of years ago. It is still relevant to us today.
In this book of the Bible you will find wisdom about finances, friendship, matters of the heart and the power of the tongue. My prayer is you will gain wisdom and knowledge as you read God’s word. I can’t wait to see what God is going to show us this year.
