God Bless My Boo Boo

God Bless My Boo Boo is an adorable board book by Hannah C. Hall. The book is centered around sick or hurt animals who need their mommy’s kisses on their boo boos. The rhyming text is too cute and the fun illustrations kept our daughter’s attention, which is difficult to do with our antsy 18 month old! Our daughter strongly dislikes going to the doctor so I think this book will come in handy as she continues to grow. There is a page about pokey pokes (shots) and it encourages the children to ask God to bless their boo boos.

Although our daughter is older we still prefer using board books with her since she isn’t exactly gentle with the pages. This sturdy new book is becoming one of her favorite reads! I would highly recommend it to parents who want to find a book about health and sickness. Even as an adult you will love the fun rhyming text and cute play on words.

After we read the book a few times our daughter started to understand the concept of “boo boos.” We let her play with a band-aid and place it on her baby’s boo boo. Izzy loves to do everything we are doing and she thought it was so special to get a band-aid all to herself!

How do you explain boo boos to your children?

I received this book free from the publisher through the BookLook Bloggers book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are 100% my own.
